Facial Oils? Do we all need it?

Hey Guys!

How’s everyone doing? This fuel scarcity is not funny at all ( my Nigerian residents will understand) and gosh! the heat is on another level :(.

So today, I want to talk about the beauty rave of the moment, and they are called “Facial Oils”.

What are facial oils and why do we need them?

facial oil

Facial oils are basically oils which you apply on your face to add hydration and nutrition to your face. Currently, facial oils are really trending in the beauty world as beauty gurus and beauty bloggers alike giving their stamp of approval to various brands of facial oils and I as a beauty blogger * ahem* cannot carry last. 🙂

Do we all need facial oils? I would say NO. Basically, if you have oily skin, facial oils are not necessary for you. However, if you have dry, normal or combination skin, then facial oils can be a good addition to your skin care regimen. I personally use my facial oil at night ONLY! because I believe products work best at night. Also, Nigeria is too hot to be walking around with a face slathered in oil during the day.

For those who would like to know the facial oil I use, its called “DR Deep Penetrating Night-time Serum. it contains Parsley seed oil, Orange peel oil, Grapefruit extract, Lemon oil, Avocado oil and etc. It works wonders for my skin I must admit and I encourage you to try it and see if it does wonders for you too. Sharing is caring.

So guys, it’s been great catching up with you as usual and i’ll be back with a new post soon. Please keep sending me emails and comments. I love getting them and I hope this helps someone.

Kiky’s tip of the day: For under eye bags, place a slice of  Irish Potatoes under your eyes for 20 minutes and wash it off.

Stay fierce…xo

  1. As a beauty blogger you can’t carry last oh biko! I noticed the trend as well. I have one (I don’t even know what it contains but I’ll check). I actually think my skin is more moisturised when I use it at night.

    1. Exactly Katchy, you get the best results when used at night. I cant carry last o. LOL.Thank you fo reading hun.

  2. Niceee one kiks. P.S- facial oil should be used first before your moisturizer as your skin absorbs it faster unlike your moisturizer which stays on the skin surface. Awesome one kiks. Tnx and I look forward to your next post!

    1. On the contrary Makus, its best to use facial oils at night. there are so many factors to put into consideration before using facial oils before moisturizer, such as skin type and climate. If you have oily skin, you have no business using facial oils under your moisturizer. For best results, use a primer instead after your moisturizer.
